Al Jazeera Children's Channel receives Eutelsat and Eurovisioni recognition award
At the awards ceremony
Al Jazeera Children's Channel, the first Arabic Edutainment Channel, was nominated for the 'Hot Bird TV awards' - the joint initiative by Eutelsat and Eurovisioni - and voted by an international jury composed of television critics, specialized journalists and audiovisual media from around Europe.
In representing the channel at this yearly event, Mr. Mahmoud Bouneb, Executive General Manager of Al Jazeera Children's Channel stated: 'This award, for which we are honored to receive in such a short period, reinforces our beliefs and efforts in improving and making a difference in the lives of the Arab Children', commented Bouneb. This award is a strong symbol of the vision and support of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned, Consort of His Highness the Emir of Qatar, whose contributions add to the uniqueness and reliability of the channel."
